Hi, I'm Matthew Jones!
As a maker and software engineer, Matthew lives at the intersection of the physical and digital worlds. His guiding philosophy is “humanity empowered by tech”… Which sounds lofty until you realize he said it at 2am, covered in hot glue, losing an argument with a digital fish.
By day, he architects cutting-edge technology. By night he’s laser-cutting enclosures, spinning up Raspberry Pi deployments, designing custom PCBs, and writing the code that brings it all to life. The result is a rare hybrid voice: someone equally comfortable discussing proper soldering technique and how AI will change humanity… Sometimes in the same sentence.
Matthew has taken this physical-digital obsession to the international stage, most recently speaking at Fluttercon Berlin with “Flutter for Makers.” His sessions blend live demos, hard-won lessons from real builds, and a contagious enthusiasm for what becomes possible when everyone’s a maker.
He also hosts Makerinator on YouTube, sharing projects ranging from dinner decision machines to cellular-connected fortune-telling fish. Yes, really.
At the end of the day, Matthew isn’t really talking about circuit boards or code syntax. He’s talking about what happens when a kid builds something that works, when a tool makes a hard life a little easier, when technology closes the gap between what people imagine and what they can hold in their hands. Tech is just the material. Humanity is always the point.

Big ideas, live demos, and things that blink. High energy, audience participation, and hardware you didn't expect to see on stage.
Workshops
Hands-on sessions where attendees actually build something. Interactive, messy, and completely unforgettable.
Demos
Show-stopping live demonstrations of physical computing at its most creative. The kind of thing people talk about after the conference.
